Issue Troubleshooting

Default Folder in Program Files on Vista can cause issues as MS splits the folder so that each user sees a different view of the data folder.
(It's a little like multi-user mode in that the data folder w/in program folder is merged with the user's actual files in their Users (Documents & Settings new name) folder.

With the "User Account" (UAP in Vista beta, UAC in production) feature, Lotus Notes' reads and writes back to the data folder are intercepted for both %windir% and %progFiles% directories. It silently redirects to the user's VirtualStore folder.
(e..g c:\Users\<myusername>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Lotus\Notes\data\...) Lotus Notes sees a merged folder of these two directories. If you user looks, he/she sees only a few files and misses all their files.
